A new chapter in my life has begun.
It begins with a pilgrimage to Hemingway's Home and
Bar, Sloppy Joe's in Key West, FL.
I've never felt more inspired and full of life then I do at this very moment. I can see my dreams being fullfilled, I feel that they are just within my reach, nearly in my grasp.
Life has just become so much more fun, interesting and exciting and it's really just doing most of the same things just in a completely different fashion.

I've been training MMA for a year now. It has changed my body and life forever. Stepping into the octagon with another person that has been training to beat me in a fight is something that has pushed me the most I've ever been mentally and physically. MMA has given me so much more confidence in everything that I do. It has made me a better lover with my girlfriend. It has changed my reality of what I thought my body would be like as I grow older. MMA is for real and it can change everything about a person, as it has for me. Anyone that steps into the octagon has my ultimate respect. I will continue training MMA for the rest of my life and hopefully get a win in another MMA fight.
Cheers,
Jason W. Mitchiner

No Sponsor from New Balance, see below.
Dear Jason,
Thank you for your request. NB supports a large number of non-profit
organizations that work to improve the lives of children. However, the
focus of our giving is directly to organizations for specific programs that
fit into our giving guidelines, and not for sponsorships.
Best of luck in your efforts!

I'm trying to figure out how I can raise at least $2,500 to Foster Care with Catholic Charities but it seems like there are more restrictions as you can see below...
I wish there was a way for me to see how much is donated and how far I am from my $2,500 goal. Foster Care is what motivates me to raise money and I've got to figure all this out soon!

Dear Mr. Mitchiner,

We received your email regarding raising money for our Foster Care program through your participation in running in the NYC marathon.
We appreciate your intention to donate dollars raised to our organization. Contributions can be made via our website, or mail-in envelope, in your name and/or in honor of your running the marathon; however we cannot permit the usage of our logo or website link in advertising and promotion of this event. As Catholic Charities falls under the umbrella of the Diocese of Trenton itself, we are limited in the number of new fund raising efforts we can officially partner with and hope you can understand our position.
If you are still committed to seeing the Foster Care program as the recipient of the dollars raised through your endeavor, we would certainly be appreciative of the support and would recognize you as a donor in our annual report listings.
Thank you, again, for your generosity in considering Catholic Charities. If you have any further questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact Mary Anne Yeager, Development Officer myeager@cctrenton.org.
Sincerely,

Joyce Campbell

Dear Jason:

Thank you for your interests in the ING New York City Marathon 2007
("Marathon").

In order to receive guaranteed entry into the ING New York City Marathon
through the charity program, you have to raise funds for anyone of our
official charity partners of your choice.

The full listing of our charity partners will be available by the end of
February, please visit our website at www.ingnycmarathon.org for more
details.

The minimum pledge amount is $2,500. If you choose to run with our
charity partners, you may use the funds you raised above the minimum
pledge amount to support the charity of your choice. Please visit our
website for more details as each charity has its own requirements and
procedures.

The drawing of the lottery will be held in Mid June. If you are accepted
as a guaranteed entry at that time, you may raise funds for any charity
of your choice.

Warm Regards,

Eric Kwok
